Development Sites & Policies Plan: Examination Page

Timeline

• The Council submitted the Development Sites & Policies Plan (DSP) to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government on 23rd June 2014. A list of documents submitted for consideration can be found on the Submissions page.
• Inspector David Hogger BA MSc MRTPI MCIHT was appointed to conduct an examination to consider the "soundness" of the Plan.
• Examination hearing sessions on the Development Sites and Policies Plan were held from Tuesday 11th November until Wednesday 19th November 2014.
• The Council proposed Main Modifications to the DSP Plan following the Inspector's preliminary findings. These were consulted upon and forwarded to the Inspector, along with the responses received during the consultation and a summary document.
• The Council issued a response to the Inspector's question following the introduction of local planning policy for Sustainable Drainage Systems.
• The Council received the Inspector's final report on Tuesday 12 May 2015, which concluded that the DSP Plan provides an appropriate basis for the planning of the borough, providing a number of modifications are made to the plan.
